It has been nearly four years since we transitioned from traditional bricks and sticks to a life of Full-Time RV living, and we have so much to share with you. Our national park travel has taken us to some of the most stunning and remote locations the US and Canada has to offer, including our cherished National Parks, state parks, and a few hidden gems off the beaten path.
We invite you to join us as we document our adventures through travel photography, videos, pictures, and blog entries.
Note: We have our emails working now, so please connect with us by sending emails, and if you wish, by adding comments to our pictures and blog entries. In the future we'll add Instagram and facebook as well.
We have left Canada and our first stop made the news, plus we take a look back to a historically significant event that changed the way we address our forest and forest fire management.
For those of you who are just discovering us, I am Ken, and my copilots are Patti and Lucas. Patti and I are both 'retired' and rather than relax, we have 'kicked it up a notch' and now travel the country in our RV home, embracing the RV living lifestyle. Lucas, a 14-year-old young man, is now home schooling at the 9th-grade level. Lucas is a budding comic who loves hard work and taking care of horses! Not to mention, before we sold our home, he earned his Black Belt from a wonderful dojo in north Atlanta, Legacy MMA.
Our journey began from Georgia, just north of the city of Atlanta. It's here that the morning airwaves are graced by a radio announcer whose deep resonant voice offers morning sermons extolling living a full and virtuous life. One parable he’s fond of repeating is 'yesterday is gone, tomorrow is uncertain, and today is a gift, which is why it is called the present.' His meaning and our intent is to live this day to its fullest and let the past be gone while worrying less about tomorrow. It also happens to be the only station in the area that plays jazz, as Atlanta is hip-hop and country central, you know. As we travel across the country, we look forward to capturing our experiences through travel photography, especially at the stunning national parks we plan to visit.
We believe that travel, especially through national park travel, is a transformative experience that expands our understanding of the planet and the significant events that have shaped both the landscape and our society.
In addition, we seek to interact with fellow enthusiasts of RV living and travel photography, aiming to forge meaningful, lasting connections. By sharing our experiences and lessons learned—both good and bad—we hope you too will capture the excitement of travel and expand into a network of connected families who care about and positively support one another.
Our intent is to share with you our thoughts, stories, and discoveries captured during our national park travel as we explore the United States in our RV, all while embracing the beauty of travel photography.
